Yo mods... You’ve mentioned before about using comments not new posts for themes. I’m in the camp that is annoyed by this.
Can you just freeze all publishing when this happens? Bitching doesn’t seem to work. We can still save drafts while frozen.

If they really want to stop it, it seems like way to go would be to pull authorship privilages from people who post rather than reply. No idea if that would be healthy, but better than shutting down everything.

For a busy guy who misses a lot of oppo posts but sometimes joins in on a theme, what’s all this? How does one find out about a ‘theme’ if there aren't regular posts about it? Stuff gets pushed down to pages 2-3-4 so quickly.

My 2 cents - neither way would really bother me. Yea theme posts get old quick - especially if it goes on for 3-4 full pages. Maybe we could *pin* the theme posts to the top of Oppo for a couple hours to keep it in the comments, and in a place where everyone can join if they want.
If they don’t want to join, they only have to skip the 1st post.

It needs to be a balance of people having fun and getting in on a theme vs. business as usual (you know, posting a picture of a car and awaiting conversation). These usually figure themselves out.
